At Pebbles Pure Bites, sustainability isn’t a buzzword—it’s a commitment woven into every part of how we do business in the Comox Valley. From ingredient sourcing to packaging and shipping, we make intentional choices that reflect our dedication to the environment, our community, and your pets.
Locally Sourced Ingredients
We make it a priority to support Comox Valley farmers and producers by purchasing our ingredients locally whenever possible. Choosing local helps reduce transportation emissions, supports small-scale agriculture, and strengthens our community economy.
Low-Carbon Production Practices
Our production process is designed to minimize waste and reduce our carbon footprint. We use energy-efficient equipment and batch-process products to cut down on energy use and waste generation.
Thoughtful, Recyclable Packaging
We source all of our packaging with sustainability in mind. Every layer—from product pouches to shipping materials—is recyclable, including the inner components. While our treats are vacuum-sealed to preserve freshness, we went the extra mile to find recyclable vacuum bags. These aren’t accepted in curbside collection but can be dropped off at local recycling depots throughout the Comox Valley.
We know sustainability is about the details, and we’re committed to making the best possible choices at every step of the packaging process.
Community-First Mindset
We believe in keeping things close to home. By sourcing locally, hiring locally, and staying involved in Comox Valley sustainability efforts, we maintain a strong connection with the people and place that make our business possible.
Our Ongoing Commitment
At Pebbles Pure Bites, sustainability is more than just a business decision—it’s a personal one. We believe in doing what we can to leave things better than we found them, whether that’s in our community, our supply chain, or the natural spaces we all share. Every eco-conscious choice we make is guided by that simple principle, and we’re always looking for ways to do more. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being intentional, and doing better where we can.
